3. To complete one block, arrange the four B units with one royal blue tonal and four white tonal B squares referring to Figure 6. Join in rows; press seams toward B squares.

4. Join the rows to complete one block; press seams in one direction. Repeat for six blocks.

Completing the Top

1. Join two Pinwheel blocks with one Bear block to make a row; repeat for two rows. Press seams toward Bear blocks.

2. Join two Bear blocks with one Pinwheel block to make a row; repeat for two rows. Press seams toward Bear blocks.

3. Join the rows referring to the Placement Diagram to complete the quilt center; press seams in one direction.

4. Sew a C strip to opposite long sides and to the top and bottom of the pieced center; press seams toward strips.

5. Sew a D strip to an E strip with right sides together along the length; press seam toward the E strips. Repeat for five strip sets. Subcut strip sets into (80) 2¼" D-E segments as shown in Figure 7.
